Product Description
This item is a great must have item if you have a Nintendo Wii. This will eliminate the need for buying endless batteries for your Nintendo Wii remote and therefore save you money. Simply remove the battery cover from the back of your Wii remote and place one of the supplied batteries in its place. Charge the remote on the stand as shown above and after a few hours you will have a fully charged Wii remote which will provide you with up to 16 hours of playing time. The best thing about this item is that it will charge two remotes at the same time (you can play with one while the other is charging) and also it provides a convenient resting place for your remote.

The idea behind the device is good. I purchased it thinking it would work in a similar way to the charging stations for the Xbox360 and the PS3, however it doesn't. The docking station plugs into the Wii or an external USB power plug with no problems. The cool blue light around the base looks good. The charge indicator across the top/front is one single strip/bar which is red when charging and blue when charged. Because it is one strip/bar it all seems to light up when one handset is placed on it so sometimes one handset might not be sat quite right and you think it is charging when it is not.
The main point of contention with this charger is the batteries supplied in the packs. They take forever to charge and don't hold the charge when full. I charge them all day and have blue lights indicating they are fully charged at night. If I take them off the charger over night and use them in the morning the battery low indicator is on on the Wii. This is very annoying as you seem to have to keep charging them constantly. If they are fully charged (blue light showing) the charge still does not last for more than a few hours.
The batteries provided are just rechargeable AA batteries but I'm guessing they are the cheapest money can buy. I have considered trying to split the battery holder open and replace them with good quality rechargeable batteries however they are well sealed in.
If the batteries were better this would be a brilliant bit of kit and I would have given it 4 stars (1 down for the confusing charge light).

Received item, fitted rechargeable batteries to controllers, these fitted easily and felt well balanced and of the same weight as normal batteries. Switched on Wii ,plugged dock into usb port and it did not work. Returned item and bought some normal batteries.

Bought this product as part of a present for my husband for our first anniversary. Very disappointed with it as the rechargeable pack you add onto the back of your wii remote does not fit onto the wii remote correctly. Its constantly popping off. I would not recommend anyone this product.... very disappointed...
